CPPM was started under the shadow of Violin Academy Pune by the internationally acclaimed violinist Pt. Atulkumar Upadhye. The whole purpose of CPPM is to help children to understand the music in its true sense and to provide a solid foundation for the appreciation of the music.

Our aim is to stimulate interest and produce thousands of knowledgeable ‘Kansens’ who can enjoy good music from live concerts. Hopefully, a number of them will move on to become the artists of future.

The Violin Academy, Center for Promotion and Popularisation of Music and Raise Anatarbharati has published a book “Foundation of Music”. This book is written by Pt. Atulkumar Upadhye and Dr. Arvind Damale. The book speaks about the fundamentals of classical music and is available in Marathi and English.

The Academy has developed a specially designed music appreciation course for school students, aimed at cultivating an early understanding and love for classical music. With a focus on listening techniques and the emotional depth of ragas, this course has been warmly embraced by students.

This course has been recognized by Maharashtra State Board. After completing Three/Five Levels of this course (Vocal & Dance), the student can get 10 to 15 marks in their S.S.C. Board Examination.

From the Academic Year 2017 CPPM course was started in different schools. More than 6000 students have appeared for CPPM Music course examination and passed successfully.
